This Privacy Policy describes how Social Impact Accounting ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with SIA Books (the "App"), accessible at app.socialimpactaccounting.com.

Who This App Is For: SIA Books is a private tool used exclusively by Social Impact Accounting and its authorized bookkeeping clients. It is not available to the general public.

Google Sign-In: We use Google OAuth 2.0 solely to authenticate authorized users. We request only the minimum permissions necessary to verify your identity and manage your session. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, or any other Google services. Google user data is used only to provide user-facing features of the app and is never used for advertising, profiling, or AI/ML training

Information We Collect - Authentication data: Your Google account email address and name, used solely to identify and authenticate you as an authorized user.

Usage data: Basic session and access logs for security and troubleshooting purposes.

How We Use Your Information: We use your information only to: Verify that you are an authorized user of the App, display your financial reports and accounting data managed by Social Impact Accounting, and maintain the security and integrity of the App. We do not sell, share, or disclose your information to third parties, except with your consent and as required by law. SIA Books's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements

Data Storage and Security: All data is hosted on Google Cloud Platform and is protected using industry-standard security practices. Access is limited to authorized personnel and clients only.

Data Retention: Authentication and session data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us at jack@socialimpactaccounting.com. Accounting and bookkeeping data and workpapers are retained by the firm according to its document retention policy based on industry best practices.

California Residents (CCPA): If you are a California resident, you have the right to: Know what personal information we collect about you, Request deletion of your personal information, Opt out of the sale of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at jack@socialimpactaccounting.com. We will respond within 45 days.
